Character description

Well, we have been asked to write or blog, actually, about two people we know very well and to list out different characteristics about them. So, i thought a lot (not actually :p) and want to write about mum and my girlfriend (shhh...), Usha. Why? Because i think i know both of their expressions quite well and thus, have, a lot of times, saved myself from being beaten up by either ;)
Alright, mum first:
5ft 3in., almost perfect english but funny with some pronunciations, known for her interior work by many, good cook, easy to make friends with. Likes all kinds of foods, pasta is a preference if given a choice though. Hates onions. Mums got a rather adaptive outlook, depending on where shes going. Quite emotional.
Usha:
5ft. 5in. (guesstimating). Good with creating things on the spot like sketching, etc. Hates pigeons, etc. Scared of anything moving. Dislikes non-veg. Clean freak!

Situation: your 2 characters are in a very crowded hawker centre. they're looking for a seat. they see a seat. they both reach the empty seat at the same time. then they see a tissue paper on the empty chair. write a short story of how your character will react to the situation. how will they relate to each other. after a while, the owner of the tissue paper comes. what happens then? write the outcome.

Story:
Knowing Usha, she would just give the seat to mum even if the didnt know each other.
But, in order to make the story more interesting. Lets just say, Usha is so hungry she would even sit in anybody elses place to start eating!! >:) So, that happens, and Puntiha (mum) gives her a threatening stare and asks her to move aside as its only fair. Punitha tells her that they could just put the tissue paper in one of their handbags and both of them share the seat. when the owner of the tissue arrives they act as if there was never anything of that sort. Being two women, they would never have trouble.

My Interpretation of the Word "Story"

The word Story is an interpretation, a thought, or just a wild imagination of a person who wants to describe the former. It consists, predominantly, of characters and environments which i think makes a large difference in a story. I am not such a big fan of blogging or actually writing a story as compared to sketching out one. Yet, I prefer writing before actually sketching out a whole story as it gets a lot easier than to actually sketch out while creating the story in my head.
I don't read or write as much as my friends do and thus my writing skills may not be as good :p
The word story is very vast in a sense of pin pointing what I understand by the word. This could be, possibly, because there are so many types, genres, etc. related to a story. A stories content to me is as interesting as its genre. I fancy fiction, murder mysteries, and ones that have an intriguing plot.
